About the Role
Essential
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, BEd or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching or supporting students with additional learning needs.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education, differentiation, and adaptive teaching strategies.
- Experience creating and implementing IEPs and progress plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting the whole child.
Desirable
- A postgraduate qualification or certification in Special Educational Needs or Inclusion (e.g., NASENCO, SENCo qualification, SpLD).
- Experience working in a British or international curriculum school.
- Familiarity with KHDA or DSIB inclusion frameworks and local UAE requirements.
- Experience supporting secondary students across multiple subjects.

Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Secondary Inclusion Teacher to join a dynamic British curriculum school in Dubai. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and school leaders to identify barriers to learning and implement effective strategies to support students with diverse educational needs.
This role will involve both in-class support and targeted interventions, as well as contributing to the wider inclusion strategy of the school.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning Support
Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
Plan and deliver targeted interventions for students requiring additional academic or emotional support.
Support students with identified Special Educational Needs (SEN), English as an Additional Language (EAL), and other inclusion categories.
Track and monitor student progress through data, observations, and regular reviews.
Model best practices in inclusive pedagogy and differentiation across the secondary phase.
Collaboration & Communication
Work in partnership with parents, support staff, and external specialists to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Provide guidance and professional development for teachers on inclusive strategies and classroom differentiation.
Contribute to inclusion-related policies, processes, and documentation in line with school and UAE standards.
Participate in whole-school initiatives promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and equity.
Professional Growth
Engage actively in ongoing professional learning related to inclusion and SEND.
Stay current with research and policy developments in special and inclusive education.
Contribute to a school culture that values reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
