About the Role
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Inclusion Teacher to support Students of Determination (SEND) and Gifted students, ensuring they receive tailored interventions that enable them to access and progress within the British curriculum.
The role involves implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), differentiated strategies, and in-class or pull-out interventions to meet diverse learning needs.
The Inclusion Teacher will work closely with classroom teachers, counselors, and the leadership team to create an inclusive learning environment, using specialist resources and assistive technology to support all students.
Collaboration with external specialists and providing training to staff is also part of the role, alongside liaising with parents to ensure holistic support.
Skills & Experience:
- A UK-approved Inclusion qualification (e.g., Master’s in Special Education Needs or Inclusion, and a relevant PGCE).
- At least 3 years of experience in an Inclusion leadership role, preferably in an international school.
- Experience in managing IEPs, interventions, and multi-tiered systems of support.
- Strong knowledge of current best practices in Inclusion and educational policies globally, with specific knowledge of UAE guidelines and the UK system.
- Expertise in assistive technologies, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and external partners.
