About the Role

Essential:

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Secondary education or A-Level certificate.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar EYFS or early years support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journey.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing classroom needs.
- Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities under busy periods.

Desirable:

- Experience in British curriculum schools or international settings.
- Familiarity with early years assessment frameworks and inclusive teaching strategies.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EYFS Assistant Teacher to support the classroom teacher in creating an engaging, safe, and nurturing environment for young learners. The successful candidate will assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and student supervision, contributing to an effective and smooth-running EYFS setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the classroom teacher to support the day-to-day running of the classroom.

  • Assist with preparation of lesson materials and resources, ensuring learning activities are ready and equipment is set up.

  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment.

  • Provide support to individual students or small groups as directed by the teacher.

  • Communicate professionally with parents when appropriate.

  • Support the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive EYFS curriculum.

  • Assist in fostering a positive and nurturing classroom culture where children can thrive.
