As the school expands into Year 8, this role will focus on developing and delivering an engaging Key Stage 3 Mathematics curriculum alongside the current Maths specialist. The position suits someone who enjoys this phase of education and is excited by the challenge of planning ahead toward future exam pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
- Plan and deliver purposeful, inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum for England.
- Use data, assessments, and student feedback to personalise learning and drive progress.
- Reflect regularly on teaching strategies and outcomes, maintaining a focus on professional growth.
- Create a classroom environment that supports independence, embraces neurodiversity, and encourages creative risk-taking.
Contribution to School Culture
- Collaborate across departments to ensure curriculum alignment and student progression.
- Engage actively in co-curricular and enrichment opportunities.
- Support colleagues through teamwork, professional dialogue, and shared reflection.

Requirements
Requirements
Essential
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, BEd or equivalent).
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a relevant setting.
Evidence of strong classroom practice and positive student outcomes.
A reflective approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
Willingness to contribute to wider school life, including co-curricular activities.
Understanding of inclusive, data-informed teaching approaches.
Desirable
Experience teaching within a British or international curriculum school.
Knowledge of local education frameworks and inspection standards.
Experience developing Key Stage 3 Maths programmes.
